2005-06 (Freshman): Played in all 28 Lady Tiger games, averaging 3.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game...Had her lone double-digit rebounding night with 10 at UAB, including six offensive, and her lone double-digit scoring night with 11 vs. Marshall in the C-USA opener...Had four blocks and 10 steals on the season and hit 30 of 45 attempts from the free-throw line...Made her first career start against Austin Peay, her lone start of the season...Had seven rebounds in her second collegiate game, adding eight points at Arkansas...Also had eight points against Southern Miss, hitting 4 of 7 shots from the field...Had eight points and seven rebounds in the final game of the season.
Prep: Montgomery joined with Paris Leonard to become Coach Savage's first-ever signees...Played basketball at Shannon High School under Weasley McCay...Montgomery was also selected to play in the Mississippi Association of Coaches' North/South All-Star Game. and was named to the Mississippi All-Star Roster for the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game...Guided her senior team to an 18-10 record, before falling to Lafayette, 69-67, in the first round of the Class 4A North Half playoffs...Scored 19 points in that season-ending game...Also scored 28 points in a win over Nettleton to earn Mississippi Clarion Ledger top state performer of the week honors...Also scored 23 points for the Lady Raiders in a 73-51 win over New Hope.
Personal: Daughter of Shirley Montgomery and has one brother, Carlos, who played football at West Alabama...Her jersey number was orginally 34, but since Tamika Butler had that number, she switched to No. 4...Lists becoming a Lady Tiger as her greatest accomplishment...Says the craziest thing she's ever done was drink a shot of wheat grass with Gresh Gorman...Favorite book is A Time to Kill...Favorite magazine is Ebony...Plans on majoring in physical education...Would like to go into coaching after graduating from the University of Memphis.
