This year the Memphis Tiger Network went behind the scenes of the 2012 Memphis women's basketball photo shoot. We had a chance to meet a lot of new faces on the team this year and talk to some of the veterans. Lets just say that when the camera started rolling, we got a chance to see the team in a whole different light. Enjoy!

2011-12 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 of Memphis' 33 games...Averaged 1.7 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, adding seven steals, four blocks and six assists...Shot 27.3 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three-point range..Also shot 61.5 percent from the free-throw line...Scored a career-high 13 points in a win over Houston...Was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in that game...Also scored nine points with a career-high four steals in a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff...Landed her first collegiate three-point field goal in that same UAPB win...Converted multiple three-point field goal tries for the first time in her collegiate career by shooting 3-for-7 from the field in the win over Houston.

Prep: Jailyn Norris joins the Tigers from Chicago, Illinois and Homewood-Flossmoor High School under coaches Ryan Sheriff and Dana Noble, where she lettered in basketball beginning her freshman season...Ranked the No. 44 small forward in the class of 2011 by ESPN Scouts, Inc...Helped her senior squad to its 21-7 overall record, averaging 12.9 points, shooting 31.3 percent from three-point range and 74.4 percent from the free-throw line...She also knocked down 36 three-point field goals as a senior in 21 games...Passed the 1,000 career point mark as a high school junior...Helped her sophomore and junior teams to back-to-back 19-10 seasons...Named to the All-SouthWest Suburban Conference Red team as a sophomore and junior and named a Chicago Sun Time All-area honorable mention honoree as a senior...Also played club basketball for the Chicago Hoops Express for coach Jerald Davis...Her 2007 club team won the Illinois State championship...Played on the East All-star squad in the Midwest High School All-Star Classic against Tiger teammate Ann Jones' west division squad...Also recruited by Illinois State, Loyola (Illinois), Missouri, West Virginia, Southern Illinois and Ball State...Was also a member of the H-F student government and honor roll.

Personal: Birthday is September 2nd...Daughter of Ivy and Veolia Norris...Her dad played basketball at Truman Junior College and her sister is also a basketball player...Majoring in business management and child development.
