As a freshman in during the 2012-13 basketball season, Mooriah Rowser started off strong before being sidelined three game into her rookie season with a serious knee injury. After surgery and almost a year of rehabilitation, Rowser is back on the court donning the Blue and Gray.
As the 2013-14 Memphis athletics season approaches, the women's basketball team is already called in for their team photo day. During the shoot, we talked to Ariel Hearn and Mooriah Rowser about their summer workouts and the upcoming season in the new American Athletic Conference.

This year the Memphis Tiger Network went behind the scenes of the 2012 Memphis women's basketball photo shoot. We had a chance to meet a lot of new faces on the team this year and talk to some of the veterans. Lets just say that when the camera started rolling, we got a chance to see the team in a whole different light. Enjoy!

Came back from knee surgery to appear in all 31 Memphis games with 21 starts in 2013-14 ... Finished as the team's third-leading scorer with 8.1 ppg and shooting 37.4 percent from the field ... Named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team ... Named The American Freshman of the Week two times during the season ... Also added 2.5 rebounds a game ... Her 27 steals was fourth on the team ... Was second on the team with a 70.6 percent free-throw shooting clip ... Scored double-digit points 12 times, including 20 points in a game against Louisville in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse and 21 points against Texas A&M in the opening game of the Paradise Jam tournament in the Virgin Islands ... Had a season-best nine rebounds in a home game against UCF and had three steals in three different games as a season-best ... Named to the Tiger 3.0 club in Fall of 2013.
Was Memphis' second-leading scorer when she went down with a knee injury in a road win at Illinois State in the Preseason WNIT...Averaged 12.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game and was shooting 63.0 percent from the floor...Also had six steals in the Tigers' first three games before suffering the injury 10 minutes into the game at Illinois State...Scored 24 points in her first collegiate game, shooting 12-for-20 from the field in the win over Grambling State in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT...Also had eight rebounds in that win...Named to the Tiger 3.0 Club and the Dean's List her first collegiate semester and named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll.
Played high school basketball at St. John's College High School in Rockville, Md...Was the Washington D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior...Helped her St. Johns squad coached by Jonathan Scribner to a 33-2 record as a junior...Her St. John's team ranked as high as No. 10 in the country...Helped the Cadets to a city championship, the Bishop Walsh tournament championship and their first WCAC title since 2004...Was named the city title championship game MVP and averaged 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals per game as a junior...Entered her senior year of high school ball already past the 1,000 career point mark (1,095)...Was recognized by The Washington Post as a first team winter All-Met team honoree...Was a four-star signee for Memphis...Also played club basketball with the Blue Star MD program under coach Tony Gorham and was the No. 38 ranked guard in the class of 2012 by ESPN HoopGurlz.com...Off the court, she was also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
