MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - Senior post Jasmine Lee (Bessemer, Ala./Jess Lanier HS) was named the Conference USA Player of the Week and the CollegeSportsMadness.com High Major women's player of the week, Monday.

Lee averaged a double-double of 20.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game in a pair of wins last week. She has now posted 10 double-doubles on the season and is averaging 17.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in conference play. She has posted 20-point games in four of the first seven C-USA games for Memphis and posted back-to-back 20-point games last week for the first time this year in wins over Marshall and East Carolina.

This is Lee's second Conference USA weekly honor. She was also named the league player of the week on December 12th.

Lee also becomes the first Tiger to earn the CollegeSportsMadness.com High Major Player of the Week Award. On Dec. 12th, she received the website's C-USA weekly honor.

Lee and her teammates return home for a pair of games this week, hosting Southern Miss, Thursday, and UCF, Saturday.

Thursday night's game will be the second meeting between Memphis and Southern Miss and will tip at 7:00 p.m. in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.

The Saturday game will be televised on Fox Sports Network beginning at 4 p.m. (CT). That Saturday game will be played at FedExForum and will also be Memphis' Play 4Kay game, where all fans wearing pink receive free admission to promote breast cancer awareness.

The Play 4Kay initiative was formerly called the WBCA Pink Zone. It was rebranded in February of 2012 in honor of former N.C. State Head Coach Kay Yow, who passed away after a 22-year battle with breast cancer. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund has allocated $2,515,000 to various research projects and related programs.
