The University of Memphis women’s basketball team has announced a number of promotional activities for Sunday’s American Athletic Conference match-up against No. 4 Louisville. The Tigers and the Cardinals will square off in a Play 4Kay pink game that will be carried on ESPNU’s coverage of the Play 4Kay women’s basketball initiative. ESPN will air seven games across its three television platforms on Sunday in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with The V Foundation and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Fans attending the Memphis game wearing pink will receive free admission. Tickets are also available to guarantee fans a reserved seat for Sunday’s game.
Evolve Bank & Trust will be giving away one free iPad, drawn from a pool of fans who register at the table as they arrive. The Girl Scouts Heart of the South will also be on hand selling cookies and presenting the color guard for pre-game ceremonies.
The first 1500 fans entering the Elma Roane Fieldhouse will receive a free t-shirt and pink pom poms. Outside the Elma Roane Fieldhouse, the Ida Mildred (a pink fire truck in support of breast cancer awareness through Pink Heals Memphis/Midsouth) will be parked on campus.
At halftime, the Tigers will recognize all breast cancer survivors in attendance at the game.
