The University of Memphis women's basketball's booster group, the Fast Break Club, will host its Sixth Annual Golf Scramble, Friday, Sept. 11th, at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett. The event is also being sponsored by Baptist Rehabilitation Germantown and all proceeds benefit the University of Memphis women's basketball team and its goal of facility and locker room renovations and an international basketball tour.
The outing will begin with check-in at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by a BBQ lunch. The four-person scramble will begin at 12:45 p.m. with a shotgun start. The co-ed event costs $75 per golfer or $300 per team. The Fast Break Club is also offering various sponsorship opportunities. Individuals or companies can sponsor a hole at the tournament for $50/hole, with signage on one or more tee boxes. For individuals or companies unable to golf that day, sponsorship of individual golfers or teams is also available for either $75 (individual) or $300 (team sponsorship). Door prizes will also be available to win for golfers, or to sponsor for organizations. A door prize sponsorship is available at two levels ($50 and $100), with recognition given at the post-event drawing. Individual door prize donations of goods, gift certificates and other items are also being accepted by Gaylon Hall for the tournament.
