MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The eighth annual Fastbreak Club Golf Scramble has been scheduled for Thursday, September 8th at Quail Ridge in Bartlett. The annual event is one of the fundraisers for the University of Memphis women's basketball booster club, The Fastbreak Club.

This year's event will again be a four-person scramble. Registration is just $100 per golfer or $350 per foursome. Hole sponsorships are also available for the tournament for $100. A business that wants to send both a foursome to golf and have a hole sponsorship can do so for a total of $400. Registration for golfers, foursomes and hole sponsors is available online here. The field will be limited to 120 golfers.

The University of Memphis women's basketball team will kick off its 2011-2012 season on Aug. 2nd with practice in preparation for the team's August trip to Italy (Aug. 15-25th). This year's trip is possible because of fundraising monies from previous Fastbreak Club golf scrambles and the inaugural Heels and Hoops event last fall.
