Incoming women's basketball player Cheyenne Creighton (Ajax, Ontario) was selected to the Canadian Basketball's Junior National Women's Team that will compete in the FIBA Americas U18 Championships in August.

Creighton is one of 12 players selected to represent Team Canada at the FIBA Americas U18 tournament in Colorado Springs in August. Creighton competed for a spot on the national team at a training camp in Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, making the cut for the team last week.

The team will complete training camp on July 31st, then will travel to Colorado Springs, Aug. 1st. Team Canada will play two exhibition games, facing Team USA on Aug. 2nd at 7 p.m. (MT) and facing Team Brazil, Aug. 4th at noon (MT).

In the FIBA Americas U18 tournament, Canada will open against El Salvador on Aug. 6th at 5:15 p.m. (ET) then will face Mexico at August 7th at 5:30 p.m. (ET) before wrapping up the round robin schedule against the United States, Aug. 8th at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

The FIBA Americas U18 tournament semifinals will be August 9th with the finals being played on August 10th.
