MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis women's basketball team will open the 2010-2011 regular season at home at FedExForum against Big 12 foe Missouri on Nov. 12th, then will play one game at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse (Nov. 15 vs. Grambling State) before spending the remainder of the month of November on the road in the non-conference schedule that was released Friday.

The Tigers will return trips to Big 10 foe Indiana (Nov. 18) and Ohio University (Nov. 20), then will participate in an exempt three-games-in-three-days tournament at the University of Kansas over Thanksgiving. Memphis will face Fordham (Nov. 26), 2009 WNIT participant Kansas (Nov. 27) and North Dakota State (Nov. 28) in the three-day Basketball Traveler, Inc. Tournament in Lawrence.

Memphis will return home to host Mid-South foe and 2010 NCAA participant UALR (Dec. 11), a team that was 27-7 last season. The Tigers will play just one road game during December, venturing north on I-55 to return a game at former C-USA foe Saint Louis University, Dec. 17th before closing out the 2010 calendar year with four home games. That four-game stretch will open Dec. 19th against a North Carolina A&T team that was 23-11 last year and advanced to the third round of the WNIT. The homestand will also feature games against Florida International (Dec. 22), McNeese State (Dec. 29) and Jackson State (Dec. 31). The Tigers faced Florida International last season, falling in a tough-fought game in Miami, 81-72. McNeese State is headed by Brooks Donald Williams, who spent one year at Memphis as an assistant coach before moving to Southern Miss and Jackson State will make their second appearance in as many years in Memphis.

The season opener at FedExForum will be the front end of a doubleheader with the Tiger men's basketball team. Memphis, who won the first meeting with Missouri on the road last season, 75-74 for their first win of the year, will tip at 5 p.m.
