The University of Memphis women's basketball team will make an appearance at First Tennessee Tiger Town Sunday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Fans can meet the entire team, including all seven newcomers for the upcoming 2009-2010 season, and get autographs.

The University of Memphis women's basketball team will feature a bunch of new faces for the upcoming 2009-2010 season, including redshirts Brittany Carter and Christine Lesane and a class of four new freshmen, in addition to the returning core of senior guard LaToya Bullard, juniors Savannah Ellis and Alex Winchell and sophomore Ramses Lonlack. In all, the Tigers will have nine players eligible to play this year that will be suiting up for the first time in Head Coach Melissa McFerrin's system.

The Tigers are in individual workouts now for two hours a week per NCAA rules and will officially begin full team practices on October 17th. Memphis' season will open on Nov. 13th against Big 10 foe Indiana, a WNIT team last season. That game will be a doubleheader with the Tiger men's team and will be played at FedExForum.
