MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis women's basketball team has added another game to the calendar for 2010-2011, addressing what had been a 12-day gap between games at the end of November and the beginning of December. The Tigers will host Chicago State, December 6th, in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse, five days before hosting 2010 NCAA participant UALR.

The Tigers will open practice for the 2010-2011 season on Tuesday, October 5th. An NCAA rule change effective only for women's basketball now allows the team 30 days of athletically-related activities 40 days prior to their first regular season contest. Memphis chose Tuesday as its first day of practice in preparation for its season-opener against Big 12 foe Missouri on November 12th at 5 p.m.

Fans who wish to see the Tigers before the team's exhibition game against Christian Brothers on November 7th, will get to see the team at Memphis Madness festivities on October 15th. As fans enter the building, the team will be on the floor practicing, then will be introduced as part of Memphis Madness festivities later in the evening.

Fans can also join the Fast Break Club (FBC), the official booster club for Memphis women's basketball, and will be invited to a practice session in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse that is only open to Fast Break Club members on October 28th. That practice session will be followed by a FBC dinner. Membership in the Fast Break Club supports the Memphis women's basketball practice above and beyond the budget allotted to the program through the Athletic Department. Membership is available at various levels, and may include an autographed Melissa McFerrin basketball, an opportunity to serve as a guest coach behind the Memphis bench, pre-game chalk talks, and other various benefits by donor level.

Fast Break Club membership can be purchased online here.

Season tickets for the upcoming 17-game home schedule are also on sale now and can also be purchased online here. A family pack of tickets, which includes two adult and three children's tickets, is available for just $125. General admission season tickets for the bleachers are just $60 ($50 for senior citizens), and chairback, reserved seats are available for just $100.
