Women's Basketball Selected for Three C-USA Television Games
Oct. 10, 2011
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis women's basketball team will make three appearances on television as part of the Conference USA women's basketball television package. That package includes one home game and two road games for Tiger fans. The first TV appearance for the Tigers will be Sunday, January 8th at UTEP. That game will be the Tigers' C-USA road opener and pits Memphis against the Miners in the same gym that hosted the conference semifinals last season. The game time has been changed to accommodate a live television broadcast. The two teams will now tip at 11 a.m. (MT), noon central. The second Tigers' television appearance is also a road game, this one a Sunday, January 22nd game at UAB. Like the UTEP game, the game time for the UAB contest has been pushed back for a live TV broadcast to 7:30 p.m. (CT). The final Tigers' appearance in the conference package will be a home game. The Tigers' February 5th game against UCF was moved back one day to Saturday, Feb. 4th to avoid any conflicts with the Super Bowl and to take advantage of a possible doubleheader with the men's basketball team. The men will host Xavier at noon and the women will follow by hosting UCF beginning at 4 p.m. (CT). All three games will appear on the Fox Sports Network, an additional television partner added by Conference USA beginning this season. Memphis Women's Basketball Television Games
