Midnight Madness returns to The Pyramid Friday night as the University of Memphis women's and men's basketball teams prepare to tip-off their seasons.

Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and both the Tigers and Lady Tigers will be on hand to sign autographs. The evening includes an alumni game featuring former Tiger Players as well as several promotional giveaways.

Also adding to the festivities will be the U of M spirit squads. Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced and the Tigers will take to the court for an intra-squad scrimmage shortly after midnight.

News Channel 3 will provide live coverage of Midnight Madness again this year beginning at 10:35 p.m.

Both Memphis teams begin preseason practice on Saturday. The first of two exhibition games for the Tigers is Nov. 4 when they play host to the VASDA All-Stars. The Lady Tigers also have two exhibition games scheduled beginning with a Nov. 7 matchup against Houston Flights.
