MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- -
The University of Memphis women's basketball team will have two live TV games as part of a 21-game Conference USA women's television package that was announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers will have one televised home game and one televised road game as part of the C-USA package.
The first TV game will be a Jan. 17th contest against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, Miss. That game will air live on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) beginning at 4 p.m. (CT) and will air on a tape-delayed basis on CBS College Sports at 6 p.m. (CT). The Tigers upended the Golden Eagles in overtime last year and the road game will be the two teams' first meeting of the 2009-2010 campaign.
The second televised game will be the regular season finale against East Carolina at FedExForum. That game will air live on CBS College Sports beginning at 1 p.m. (CT). Memphis split with the Pirates last season, losing in Greeneville and winning in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. This match-up will be the first-ever televised women's basketball game from FedExForum and will be on Senior Day for seniors Tehani Goldsmith and LaToya Bullard.
The semifinals and the conference finals are also included in the TV package from the 2010 tournament, which will be hosted this year by Tulsa University. All three of those games (both semifinals and the final) will air live on CBS College Sports.
