Nicole Dickson Adds TSWA Weekly Honor

MEMPHIS - - Senior forward Nicole Dickson added another weekly honor to her playing resume by becoming the first Memphis women's basketball player to earn Tennessee Sportswriters Association women's player of the week honors it was announced Tuesday.
Dickson scored 18 straight points through the first and second halves of a 76-74 road win at Illinois State, scoring a career-high 36 points. She was 15-for-25 from the field, including a trio of three-point field goals, also adding six rebounds, four steals, two blocks and two assists in 38 minutes of play. She scored what would eventually be the game-winning bucket with 2:35 left in the game to help the Tigers pick up their first road win of the season.
The Greeneville, Tenn., native is averaging 22.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the 2-1 Tigers, who wrap up a three-game road swing at UT-Arlington, Wednesday.
