MEMPHIS, TENN. -

The Lady Tigers will take to the road for their only road contest in the next five games when they travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to face Austin Peay State. It is also the second of five games to be played against schools located in Tennessee. Memphis opened its road schedule last week with a 71-50 win over Tennessee Tech. The APSU matchup is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off. The Lady Tigers are 4-0 on the year after defeating Eastern Kentucky and Ole Miss in the Lady Tiger Classic this past weekend. The victory over Ole Miss in the title game allowed Memphis to secure their 12th straight Lady Tiger Classic championship. Junior Jennifer Sullivan, who is second on the squad with an average of 15.0 points per game, was named the tournament MVP. Sophomore Tamika Butler, who leads the team in scoring with a mark of 15.8 points per game, was also named to the all-tournament team. Junior Raven Rogers leads Memphis on the boards with an average of 6.0 rebounds a game, Sullivan follows her with 5.8 boards a game.

Scouting APSU: The Lady Govs are 2-2 on the year after losing to Missouri (78-43) and defeating Centenary (72-60) in the UW-Green Bay tournament this past weekend. APSU also has a win over Cumberland (80-54) and a loss to Evansville (73-63) so far this season. Senior forward Gerlonda Hardin leads APSU in scoring with an average of 17.0 points per game. A 62.5-percent shooter from the field, Hardin is second in rebounding with 7.5 boards per game. Sophomore Ashley Haynes is the only other Lady Gov with a double digit scoring mark, averaging 13.8 points per contest. She is leading her team in rebounding with 8.3 rebounds a game. Sophomore Kera Bergeron is APSU's biggest outside shooting threat, leading her team with 11 treys this season.

The Series: The Lady Tigers are undefeated against APSU, dating back to the first meeting in 1973-74. Memphis has won a total of six games, and owns a 2-0 record against the Lady Govs on the road. Last season, Memphis hosted APSU in a 56-50 win in the season opener. The last time the two squads met in Claksville was in 1998-99 when Memphis left with an 81-73 victory.

Up Next: The U of M will play their next four games at home before breaking for the Christmas holidays. Memphis starts the four-game home slate with a 5 p.m. meeting with UT-Martin on Dec. 6 at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Lady Tigers will then welcome Vanderbilt to the Fieldhouse for a much-anticipated match-up on Dec. 11.
