Melissa McFerrin TV Show to Air Saturday on FOX13

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - University of Memphis women's basketball head coach Melissa McFerrin has been busy this week and Tiger fans can see the results. The Melissa McFerrin TV Show will air for the first time this season on Saturday, December 17th at 1:30 p.m. on FOX13. Coach McFerrin and show host Matt Stark will talk Tigers, an 8-1 start to the season and will preview the starting five players. Senior guard Brittany Carter will also talk with Stark about the pre-season expectations, how the Italy trip helped the team get off to a strong start and her plans after college, even though she already has one college degree in hand. The Melissa McFerrin TV Show will air five times this season, once in December, twice in January and twice in February. This is the second season the show has aired on FOX13 in Memphis. Memphis is in the midst of a five-game stretch of contests away from Memphis. The Tigers fly to New York City this weekend to participate in the St. John's/Chartwell's Holiday Classic. Memphis will face Louisiana Tech, the WAC regular season champs and NCAA at-large team from 2011, on Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET). The Tigers will then face either Prairie View A&M (SWAC 2011 champions) or host St. John's (NCAA Second Round) on Sunday, depending on the results of Saturday's game with Louisiana Tech. Both Memphis games can be heard on 91.7 FM, WUMR, with Jeff Brightwell on the play-by-play call.
