MIAMI, Fla. - Junior Stacey Tate shot a 5-under 68 in the final round of the Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship to capture medalist honors as the University of Memphis women's golf team placed seventh on Wednesday.

Tate's career low 68 ranks in a tie for second all-time at Memphis and came on a par-73 course. The second lowest score in the final round was a 2-under 71 accomplished by one person in the 105 player field. The New Zealand native finished with a final three-round 5-under 214, surpassing her previous Lady Tiger record 215 at the Lady Eagle Classic last year, a tournament Tate also won.

Tate finished one-stroke ahead of Georgia State's Lisbeth Meincke who shot a 70-73-72--215 for second place. Tate is only the fifth player in Memphis history to win multiple tournaments in their career. The win also marks the fifth time she has finished in the top five during her two years at Memphis. Tate finished the tournament with 13 birdies.

The Lady Tigers placed seventh in the 20-team tournament hosted by Florida International University at the Miccosukee Women's Championship. Memphis finished with a three-round 925 to end 28 strokes behind tournament winner Augusta State. Brigham Young University finished second with an 898, one-stroke behind the leader.

Freshman Kayla Stewart shot a career-low three-round 232 to finish tied for 25th individually. She was followed by North Carolina State transfer Dawn-Marie Conaty who finished tied for 55th with a 239 in her first tournament as a Lady Tiger. Freshman Rachel Larson tied for 60th with a 240 and senior Bernie Rosero finished tied for 70th with a 244.

Memphis will next compete in the UNLV Spring Invitational in Las Vegas from March 13-15.
