Lady Tigers Open Season At LSU Cleveland Classic

Baton Rouge, LA - The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team finally opened the 2004 spring season after having last week's tournament at Pinehurst, North Carolina, snowed out. Competing in the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic, the Lady Tigers showed some early season rust in posting a first round score of 332. The University of Alabama holds the first round lead in the 17-team event with a score of 299. Host team LSU is currently second with a 301 and UNC-Wilmington is third after shooting a 304. Amelie Farrah of UNC-Wilmington is the individual after carding a one under par score of 71. Memphis senior Jennifer Jaszek is tied for 24th with a 78.
