The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team finally were able to open the spring season and placed 16th at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. North Carolina won the tournament, while Conference USA member Tulane placed second.

Ashley Prange of North Carolina also laid claim to medalist honors, giving the Tar Heels a clean sweep in the event held at the LSU University Club. Memphis senior Jennifer Jaszek tied for 36 with a three round total of 237.
