OXFORD, Miss. - The University of Memphis women's golf team posted a 308 in the second round of the Rebel Intercollegiate and moved into a tie for 12th position with Mississippi State.

The Lady Tigers (309-308--617) moved up one spot as all five golfers posted scores in the 70's. Tennessee extended its commanding lead to 24-strokes as the Volunteers posted a tournament-record 36-hole total of 569. Tulsa (300-293--593) and Coastal Carolina (298-297--595) are in second and third, respectively.

Marissa Steen, who was in a tie for second place after an opening-round 71, fell to a tie for 23rd after a 78 in the second round. Julia Hodgson also carded a second-round 78 and is in a tie for 43rd position, while Kathleen Glavin is in a tie for 54th after a second-round 77.

Ashley Kees followed a first-round 83 with a 77 on the second day to move into a tie for 76th. Alex Aläng, who was disqualified in the first round, shot 76 on day two at Ole Miss Golf Course.

Nathalie Mansson (72-67--139) and Erica Popson (71-69--140) of Tennessee are first and second respectively in the individual standings. Virginia Espejo, who led after a first-round 68, turned in a 73 Saturday and dropped to third position.

Sunday's final round begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start, and live scoring will be available via www.golfstat.com.
