Ole Miss Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

OXFORD, Miss. - Junior Alex Aläng fired a first-round score of 75, including a career-first hole-in-one, to pace all Lady Tigers during day one of Ole Miss' BankcorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate.

Aläng's ace came from 155 yards out, on hole number three of Ole Miss' University Course, helping the native of Tullinge, Sweden, to complete day one play tied for 19th place.

Fellow juniors Julia Hodgson and Sarah Mathews trailed Aläng, recording identical scores of 78, to place tied for 48th.

Freshman Ashleigh Whisenant scored a first-round tally of 80 to tie for a share 65th place, while senior Marissa Steen scored 83, throughout day one of the annual Ole Miss tournament.

As a team, Memphis currently sits in 12th place with a first-round score of 311, trailing Maryland (11th) by just three strokes. No. 39 Ole Miss and No. 17 Baylor are tied for first-place, having both shot 292 throughout day one of play.

Round two of the Rebel Intercollegiate will tee-off tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m., and live scoring will be available throughout the tournament at GolfStat.com.
