Ole Miss Round Two Results Get Acrobat Reader

OXFORD, Miss. - Junior Alex Aläng (75-73--148) shot 73 throughout day two of Ole Miss' BankcorpSouth Rebel Intercollegiate to improve to 13th place, heading into tomorrow's final round of play.

Aläng, a native of Tullinge, Sweden, began the day tied for a share of 19th place with four competitors, but improved six spots by firing a near season-low round of 73.

Fellow Lady Tigers Ashleigh Whisenant (80-76--156), Julia Hodgson (78-78--156) and Sarah Mathews (78-78--156) are each tied for shares of 55th place, while senior Marissa Steen is tied for 72nd with rounds of 83-77--160.

As a team, Memphis (311-304--615) is tied with Conference USA foe Southern Miss (303-312--615) for 11th place, trailing 10th place Redlands (Calif.) by six strokes.

No. 17 Baylor leads the field, having fired rounds of 292-285--577, while host No. 39 Ole Miss trails in second-place with rounds of 292-289--581.

Third and final round play is set to begin tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m., and live scoring is available via GolfStat.com.
