Rebel Intercollegiate Final Round Scores Get Acrobat Reader

Two Lady Tiger golfers posted their best rounds of the tournament and a third tied her best round in the final round of the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate, Sunday. Sarah Mathews and Alex Aläng both posted their best rounds of the tournament in the final round, while Ashleigh Whisenant tied her best round score from Friday. But with 11 strokes separating the Tigers and 16th-place Southern Miss, the team finishes the tournament in 17th place with a team score of 941 for the three-round tournament.

Both Mathews and Alang finished the day with a +3 score of 75. Aläng carded three birdies on the final day, all on the back nine holes, while Mathews birdied 18 and scored par on 13 holes to post her best score of the weekend. Aläng was the Lady Tigers' top individual finisher (t-50th), while Mathews' low round pushed her to an 80th place individual finish.

Whisenant posted another +6 (78), matching her Friday score, to finish in a two-player tie for 78th place.

After posting a 76 on Saturday, Julia Hodgson posted an 85 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 85th at 242. Natalie Turk rounded out the Lady Tiger scorers with a 245, putting her in a tie for 89th.

Coastal Carolina won the team title with a team score of 863 (-1). They finished with a nine stroke lead on second-place Baylor (872) and third-place Tulane (878).
