The Memphis Lady Tiger golf team shot an opening round score of 344 and are currently in eighth place at the Conference USA Women's Golf Championship being played at Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

Brooke Mangan of UAB holds the individual lead with a score of 73 during her first round of competition. Adrienne Millican of East Carolina is two strokes back with a 75. Memphis freshmen Kathryn O'Rourke and Meghan Mahoney and senior Jennifer Jaszek are all tied for honors among Lady Tiger golfers after posting identical scores of 85 over the 6,197 yard course. The trio is in 22nd place.

Tulane University and South Florida are tied for team honors after 18-holes with scores of 318. TCU is seven strokes back at 325, while Southern Mississippi is in fourth place at 326.
