@MemphisWGolf Finishes Fourth As a Team, Kees and Cabush finish top-10 individually

PALM COAST, Fla. – The University of Women’s Golf team completed the final round of the Inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship Tuesday afternoon, finishing the tournament in fourth place with a score of 939 (+75).
Junior Ashley Kees finished sixth overall, shooting a 228 (+12, 81-71-76) and tied for the best round of the tournament with her 71 (-1) in the second round.
Freshman Leighann Cabush finished one stroke behind Kees with 229 (+13, 78-75-76), Cabush finished tied with two other golfers for seventh place.
Junior Natalie Turk finished with 244 (+28, 78-86-80) strokes, putting her in 26th place overall. Sophomore Julia Gerlach finished one stroke behind Turk with 245 (+29, 82-83-81). Shelby Sain finished the tournament with 259 (+43, 95-82-82), finishing tied for 36th place.
Jenny Haglund of SMU took the individual title with a score of 218 (+2, 76-71-71), followed by Emily Haas of Louisville at 223 (+7, 75-77-71) and Ashley Holder of UCF with 224 (+8, 76-74-74). No. 38 Louisville edged No. 18 UCF by one stroke, with the Cardinals finished the tournament at 915 and the Knights shooting 916.
