Second Round Results Get Acrobat Reader

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In the second round of the highly competitive Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship, the University of Memphis women’s golf team recorded a team score of 327. The squad was led by Sarah Mathews, who carded an 80.

The Lady Tigers started on the back nine as Mathews recovered from a 41 on the back to shoot 39 on the front, for a total of 80. Ashley Kees posted the next lowest score as she shot 39 on the back, including three birdies before carding a 42 on the front for a total of 81.

Julia Hodgson carded an 82 after birdying her final hole, the par-five ninth. Ashleigh Whisenant and Alex Aläng rounded out the team with scores of 84 and 89, respectively.

The Lady Tigers are currently in 15th place with first and second round scores of 321 and 327 for a total of 648. Arizona holds the lead after two rounds with their two-day total of 584 while Texas is second at 589. Arizona’s Kendall Prince is the only golfer under par for the championship as she holds a one-shot lead with her mark of one-under (143).

The third and final round of the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship will take place on Sunday. The Lady Tigers will tee off on the 10th hole starting at 8:30 a.m.
