Lady Tiger Remain Third In Cardinal Cup

Louisville, KY - Rele The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team received top five performances from Jennifer Jaszek and Marianne Ruud but could not repeat last week's tournament as the U of M finished fourth in the Louisville Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Kentucky. Conference USA member Louisville won the tournament with a team total of 919. UNC-Greensboro placed second with a 924, while Memphis was third at 926. Campbell University finished fourth with a 935 and Arkansas rounded out the top five with a score of 939. Jaszek, who won last week's Memphis Women's Intercollegiate, finished second at the Louisville tournament with a score of 224. The Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, native had round of 77-73-74 over 54-holes. Ruud, who placed third in the season's first event, had a third place finish at Louisville. Ruud turned in scores of 72-76-77 for a 225, one stroke behind her teammate. Jenny Gleason of UNC-Greensboro won medalist honors with a score of 217. Gleason shot 70-75-72 for her win.
