@MemphisWGolf Finishes 10th at Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational

WEST POINT, Miss. - The University of Memphis women's golf team posted a 10th-place finish at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational in West Point, Miss.
The Lady Tigers shot a final round score of 314 on Wednesday, finishing with a team score of 927 (313-300-314).
Leighann Cabush (77-75-76 - 228) and Ashley Kees (79-74-75 - 228) were the top Memphis scorers and finished tied for 35th in the event. Kees shot a team-low score of 75 on Wednesday, and finished with two birdies and 14 pars in the final round.
Kees and Whisenant each recorded their best 54-hole scores at Memphis.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs won the event with a team score of 844, 21 shots ahead of second-place East Carolina. Mississippi State's Ally McDonald was the individual champion, finishing two shots ahead of teammate Jessica Peng.
The Lady Tigers return to the course at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational from Oct. 20-22 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
