LEXINGTON, Kent. - Memphis Lady Tiger senior golfer Jennifer Jaszek fired an opening round 83 and is currently in a nine-way tie for 40th at the University of Kentucky Wildcat Invitational, Friday.

Jaszek fired a 42 on her opening nine holes, dropping down one stroke on the back nine with a 41.

Kentucky's Marissa Muire leads the field after an opening day 73. Mississippi State's Natalie Booth is second following a day one 74. Booth's Bulldogs are leading the team competition following and opening day 309, while Vanderbilt is second with a 311. Memphis is 18th with an opening round 351.

The competition continues through Sunday at the University Club of Kentucky.
