Lady Tigers Drop To 14th At Lady Tarheel

Chapel Hill, NC - The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team are facing some of the NCAA's top ranked teams in this week's North Carolina Franklin Street Trust Lady Tarheel Invitational in Chapel Hill. The U of M is in 14th place after the first 36-holes of the event after posting a team total of 315 on Saturday. Duke University is leading the three day event with a team score of 577. Oklahoma State University is second with a score of 582. North Carolina is in third at 592, while Ohio State and Florida State are tied at 593. Conference USA members Tulane and South Florida are tied for sixth at 595. Duke's Liz Janangelo leads all individuals with a score of eight under par 135. Memphis senior Marianne Ruud, who has played well in each tournament this fall, is tied for 33rd with a seven over par 151. Ruud is tied with former Lady Tiger Meaghan Francella, who now plays for North Carolina. True freshman Danielle Reilly and junior Jennifer Jaszek are tied for 45th with scores of 154. Second round action is slated for Saturday morning at 8 AM.
