Jaszek Ties for 28th at Wildcat Invitational

LEXINGTON, Kent. - - University of Memphis women's golfer Jennifer Jaszek moved another 10 spots up to finish tied for 28th in the final round of the University of Kentucky Wildcat Fall Invitational, Sunday. Jaszek fired her best round of the three-day tournament, with a third round 77, placing her in a six-way tie at 241 for the tournament. Louisville's Meghan Little won medallist honors with her day three 78 giving her a three-day total of 227, winning in a shoot-out with Vanderbilt's Chris Brady, who carded a day three 73 to force the shoot-out. Mississippi State's Amanda Mathis was third with a 228. Vanderbilt may have been denied individual medallist honors, but took the team title with a day three low team score of 303, finishing with a 926. Mississippi State was second with a 941, and UNC Wilmington was third with a 946. Memphis finished 18th, 10 strokes behind Richmond, who finished 17th with a 1003. The Lady Tiger golfers travel to Tampa, Fla., for their next tournament, participating in the USF Beacon Woods Invitational, Oct. 10-12.
