Lady Tigers Fall To 15th At Franklin Street Trust Tournament

Chapel Hill, NC - The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team carded a final round team score of 316 at this week's North Carolina Franklin Street Trust Lady Tarheel Invitational in Chapel Hill and finished in 14th place among some of the nation's top ranked teams. Duke University won the three day event with a team score of 877. It was the Blue Devil's sixth consecutive win in the event hosted by North Carolina. Oklahoma State University was second with a score of 878. Ohio State placed third with a score of 888, while Tulane was fourth at 889 and North Carolina was fifth with a 890. Duke's Liz Janangelo won the medalist title with a score of six under par 210. Memphis senior Marianne Ruud, tied for 36th with a final round 77 and a total score of 228. Junior Jennifer Jaszek tied for 41st with a score of 230. Jaszek fired a final round score of 76, as did teammate Abby More, who tied for 67th.
