Columbia, Mo. - The University of Memphis women's golf team finished play at the University of Missouri's Johnie Imes Invitational golf tournament this afternoon in fifth place. The Lady Tigers bested their round two score by 12 strokes to move up one spot from yesterday's leaderboard.

Alexa Porter (77-76-77) led the team throughout the tournament and finished in a two-way tie for eighth with Missouri's Chelsea Schriewer. Dawn-Marie Conaty (81-86-76) missed making the top-20 by two strokes.

Missouri's Julia Porter took the individual honors as her team won the tournament by thirty strokes.

The Lady Tigers will travel to Greenville, South Carolina, to compete in Furman's Lady Paladin Invitational next weekend.
