GREENVILLE, N.C.—The University of Memphis women’s golf team (302-299—601) is in sixth place after two rounds of play at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. Marissa Steen led the Lady Tigers with scores of 76-71—147 (+5) and holds a share of 11th place individually.

“I saw a lot of positives out there today,” Lady Tiger head coach Beth Harrelson said. “And, I really believe tomorrow will be better.”

Kathleen Glavin joins Steen in the individual top-20 as the junior from Dayton, Ohio posted scores of 75-73—148 to land in a tie for 13th heading into Tuesday’s final round at Greenville Country Club. Alex Aläng and Julia Hodgson both posted 36-hole totals of 154 and finished day one in a tie for 46th position. Sarah Mathews is in a tie for 62nd after turning in rounds of 79-77.

Maryland posted scores of 292-294—586 on the first day to take a three-stroke lead over Pennsylvania (293-296—589). Tournament-host East Carolina (291-301—592) is tied with Augusta State (292-300—592) for third position.

The Lady Pirate Intercollegiate concludes tomorrow, Oct. 12 with the third round set to start at 8 a.m. (CT). Live scoring will be available through www.golfstat.com.
