Round One Results Get Acrobat Reader

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-- The University of Memphis women's golf team battled the wind and wet conditions to open play at the Memphis Women's Invitational with an 18-hole total of 305 to lead after one round.

The second round was called due to darkness with most golfers have thru 15 holes in the second round.

The Lady Tigers were paced by Melissa Steen's four-over 75 at the par-71, 6,176-yard Ridgeway Country Club. Alex Aläng was second for Memphis with a first round 76. Kathleen Glavin finished in a tie for 22nd position after carding an opening round 77.

The Memphis Women's Invitational concludes Tuesday, Oct. 26 with the remaining holes of the second round and the third and final round. Players are scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and live scoring will be available via www.golfstat.com.
