Memphis Finishes 16th at Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate

For Immediate Release Kiawah Island, S.C. - The University of Memphis women's golf team finished the final two rounds of the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate with a 328 and 311 on Tuesday to place 16th out of 19 teams with a 957 three-round total. Freshman Rachel Larson paced the Tigers with a 78-80-80--238 to finish in a tie for 49th individually in the team's final tournament of the fall schedule. Junior Stacey Tate shot the low team round in the event with a 76 in the third round to finish tied for 56th with a 240. Rounding out the rest of the Memphis squad, junior Cameron Barber tied for 71st with a 81-79-85--245, sophomore Kayla Stewart tied for 76th with a 87-84-77--248 and Kathryn O'Rourke tied for 79th with a 80-91-78--249. The Intercollegiate was hosted by the College of Charleston at the Oak Point Golf Course. Charleston placed second in the tournament with a 913, one-stroke behind tournament champion the University of Idaho. The University of Nebraska placed third with a 914. Idaho's Renee Skidmore took medalist honors with a 74-75-71--220 to finish four over. Louisville's Adrienne White placed second individually with a 76-74-71--221.
