Tate Takes Third Individually as Lady Tigers Finish Fifth at Ross Resorts Invitational

PINEHURST, N.C. - Sophomore Stacey Tate finished third individually as the University of Memphis women's golf team took fifth in the Ross Resorts Invitational hosted by Rollins College. It is the third time in five tournaments that Tate has finished in the top 5. The Auckland, New Zealand native shot a 4-over-par 76 in the third round of the tournament to finish 78-78-76--232. Junior Bernie Rosero had her best tournament finish, tying for 18th place with an 82-75-82--239. Rosero, a transfer from Tyler Junior College, came into the tournament with an average three-round score of 245.8. The Lady Tigers ended their fall schedule with four golfers finishing in the top 36. Baylor University won the tournament with a 315-305-314--934 and James Madison's Carol Green took medalist honors with a 74-81-74--229.
