AUGUSTA, Ga. - Junior Dawn-Marie Conaty was solid for the second day in a row to claim sole possession of third place as the No. 40 University of Memphis women's golf team placed fourth at the America's Choice Mortgage Lady Jaguar Invitational. Seniors Stacey Tate and Cameron Barber joined Conaty in the top-20 as the Lady Tigers claimed their fourth consecutive top-five finish in the final tournament of the season.

Conaty opened the Lady Jaguar Invitational with a 2-over-par 74 and was tied for second place after Monday's first round. The Dublin, Ireland, native then backed up her first-day score with another solid round on Tuesday. Conaty turned in a 4-over-par 76 en route to a 150 and the best finish of her career.

Tate, who came into the event with back-to-back top-five finishes, got off to an uncharacteristic start in the first round. Tate's 12-over-par 84 left her in a tie for 32nd and was the highest first-round total for the Lady Tigers. However, Tate rebounded with a 1-over-par 73 on Tuesday to earn 13th-place and claim her fourth consecutive top-20 appearance of the fall.

Barber turned in a 9-over-par 81 on Monday, but improved in Tuesday's second round by recording a 7-over-par 79. Barber's tie for 20th gave the Lady Tigers three finishers in the top-20.

Sophomore Rachel Larson finished just two strokes behind Barber by posting a 36-hole score of 162 (80-82) to finish tied for 24th. Senior Kathryn O'Rourke turned in a two-day total of 164 after firing 84 in consecutive rounds.

The Lady Tigers turned in a team score of 627 (317-310) and finished 10 strokes ahead of fifth place Florida International.

The U of M women's golf team concluded a successful fall season that saw them climb as high as No. 38 in the nation in Golfstat's weekly rankings. After opening the season with a sixth-place finish at the Badger Women's Golf Invitational Sept. 10-11, the Lady Tigers never finished out of the top-five. Memphis claimed fifth-place at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate Sept. 25-26 before claiming their first tournament victory of the season at the Wildcat Fall Invitational Sept. 30-Oct. 1. The Lady Tigers backed-up that win with a runner-up finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational Oct. 6-8 before earning fourth-place on Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers will now prepare for the 2007 spring schedule which begins with the Baja Invitational in Ensenada, Mexico. The two-day tournament is set to tee off on Feb. 5, 2007.
