HONOLULU - The University of Memphis women's golf team is tied for 8th after day one of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Lady Tigers shot a 318 as team in the opening round. Memphis is tied with Wyoming at 634.

Rachel Larson is the top Lady Tiger on the leader board. The junior is tied for 28th. Freshman Alexa Porter is tied for 34th. Porter had the lowest second round score among Tigers with a 78. Senior Dawn-Marie Conaty is tied for 34th with a two round total of 159. Sophomore Leslie Grabeman is tied for 52nd after shooting consecutive 81's. Senior Meghan Mahoney withdrew due to an injury in the first round, but overcame her injury to shoot an 80 on Tuesday.

Arizona and Oklahoma State share the leads after two rounds. Each squad has a team score of 587. Alison Walshe of Arizona leads Anna Nordqvist of Arizona State by two strokes in the individual competition. Walshe is four-under-par.

The Lady Tigers will conclude play in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational with round three on Wednesday.
