Women's Golf Ties for Eighth in Hawaii

HONOLULU- The University of Memphis women's golf team finished in a tie for eighth place out of a 16 team field at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Lady Tigers shot a 956 as team during the 54-hole event. Senior Dawn-Marie Conaty and junior Rachel Larson each shot a 238 for the tournament to tie for 30th in the field. Freshman Alexa Porter tied for 35th with a 240 and sophomore Leslie Grabeman tied for 42nd after shooting a 242. Oklahoma State shot 880 as a team to win the team competition while Alison Walshe of Arizona won the individual competition shooting a three-under-par 213. Walshe was the only player in the field to finish under-par. The Lady Tigers will be back in action when they travel to Stockbridge, Ga. when they compete in the Lady Panther Intercollegiate in what will be the squads final tournament prior to the conference championships.
