IRVING, Texas - Marissa Steen was named Conference USA `s Female Golfer of the Week on the heels of her third medalist performance of the season earlier this week in the Lady Eagle Invitational.

Steen took home the individual crown at the Lady Eagle Invitational after posting rounds of 71 and 73 to finish at an even-par 144 at the Hattiesburg Country Club. The junior's efforts helped Memphis to take its third team title of the season, the most since the 1996-97 campaign, with a tournament-total 605, besting host Southern Miss by three strokes.

In all three titles for the Tigers, Steen has also earned the top individual spot. Her opening-round 71 was the lone sub-par round of the event as she went on to finish with a three-stroke margin between herself and fellow Memphis golfer Ashley Kees, who placed second while competing as an individual.

Steen earns Golfer of the Week honors for the third time of her junior season and the fourth time of her career.
