Women's Golf Playing One Final Tournament Before C-USA Championships

The University of Memphis women’s golf team has not been on the competition course since wrapping up competition at the South Alabama tournament back in mid-March. But with the Conference USA Championships looming just over two weeks away, the Lady Tiger golfers will get one more competition in, starting Friday at the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate, the spring tournament put on by Ole Miss.
The Lady Tigers will take five participants to the tournament in Oxford. Sophomore Natalie Turk, senior Julia Hodgson, senior Sarah Mathews, senior Alex Aläng and sophomore Ashleigh Whisenant will all compete for Memphis at the event.
The tournament field will be made up of 18-teams, including three teams ranked in the top-30 in Golfweek’s latest rankings. Tulane (No. 20), LSU (No. 25) and Baylor (No. 27) highlight the field in terms of ranked opponents. Other opponents rounding out the field will be Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Furman, Harvard, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Murray State, Ole Miss, Redlands Community College, Southern Miss, Troy and Tulsa in addition to the Tigers.
The tournament will be played on the Ole Miss Golf Course on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live stats for the event will be available HERE.

This will be the Lady Tigers’ final tournament before the Conference USA Championships, April 22-24th in Gulf Shores, Ala.
