BATON ROUGE, La.- The University of Memphis Women's Golf team placed third at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic this weekend played on the University Club Golf Course near the LSU Campus.

The Lady Tigers shot a 905 (41-over) edging out host team LSU by two strokes for third place. C-USA rival Tulane finished second with a team score of 892 (28-over) and golf power UNC-Wilmington won the event with a team score of 889 (25-over).

The third place finish gives Memphis much needed momentum heading into C-USA Championships in two weeks. The Lady Tigers showed their true colors and bounced back nicely from last week's forgettable performance.

Danielle Reilly and Abby More each shot a 224 (8-over) to finish in the top 10 amongst individuals. Amelie Farrah of UNC-Wilmington won the tournament with a score of 217 (1-over).
