Steen Named First Team All-Conference USA
May 7, 2012 IRVING, Texas -University of Memphis women's golf team senior Marissa Steen was named First Team All-Conference USA, the league announced. This is the second consecutive season Steen has earned the honor. "I am so proud of Marissa not only for all she has accomplished in golf but also for earning a 3.95 GPA and representing the university," Memphis head coach Beth Harrelson said. "She has been the ideal student athlete." Steen finished in a tie for 18th position individually while leading Memphis to a fourth place team finish at the 2012 C-USA Championships. Her best finish of the spring came at Augusta State's Insperity Lady Jaguar Classics where she fired rounds of 74-70-75 to finish in fifth. Steen graduates Memphis as one of the most decorated Lady Tigers in history. In addition to being named first team all-conference in 2011 and 2012, she was also a member of the second team in 2010.
