MEMPHIS, Tenn. - On Tuesday, Lady Tigers' head golf coach Beth Harrelson announced the addition of Sally Andrews to the coaching staff. Andrews, a former head coach of the women's golf program, has been with the University for more than 25 years.
"I am very excited to have Sally on staff, and she brings a wealth of knowledge in a variety of areas to the program," Harrelson said. "Sally will be a great asset as we continue to strive for excellence on the course and in the classroom. She is a very accomplished golfer, and we are blessed to have her return to the Lady Tiger golf program."
Andrews was the women's golf head coach for five years from 1986-91 with her teams never finishing lower than third place in the Metro Conference. The Lady Tigers' best season under Andrews came in her final season when they finished second in the Metro Conference. After retiring from coaching, Andrews moved to the University of Memphis compliance office. She recently retired from the compliance office and will now serve as an assistant on the Lady Tiger golf staff.
