NORTH PLAINS, Ore.- University of Memphis senior Stacey Tate failed to advance to the match play portion of competition at the U.S. Women's Amateur at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club after carding a 7-over-par 78 in the second round of stroke play.

Tate finished 17-over-par overall after shooting 159 (81-78) in stroke play, but the Auckland, New Zealand, native wasn't the only golfer who had trouble at Pumpkin Ridge. Only three golfers finished stroke play under par.

Tate will return to Memphis this fall and will look to pick up where she left off last spring, when she won three tournaments and finished in the top 10 in four others.
