The University of Memphis Golf women's golf team is in a tie for 17th place after two rounds at the Johnie Imes Invitational. The tournament is being held at the 6,204 yard par 72 Club at Old Hawethorne with the University of Missouri serving as the tournament's host.

Senior Rachel Larson shot 80 for the second round in a row to lead the Lady Tigers, posting a two day total of 160 (80-80) and finishing in a tie for 55th place. Freshman Marissa Steen shot an 84 in the second round for a total of 165 (81-84) and is 66th. Leslie Grabeman shot 169 (83-86) and is in 76th. Kathleen Glavin carded a total of 180 (94-86) to finish in 89th. Caitlin McDonald is in 90th after shooting 197 (101-96).

"It was a tough day out there, but I'm proud of the way my team carried itself. Everyone kept a positive attitude despite going through some rough stretches," said Lady Tiger head coach Beth Harrelson.

Arkansas-Little Rock leads the pack after two of play, shooting a team total of 593 (303-290). Missouri and Ole Miss are five strokes back after posting totals of 598 (300-298). Julia Potter retained her lead in the individual competition after shooting a two day total of 137 (67-70).

The Lady Tigers will continue play tomorrow, Sept. 30th, when the Johnie Imes Invitational resumes at 8:00 a.m. (CT).
