The University of Memphis Women's Golf Team will compete in the Lady Red Wolf Classic on October 12-13. The tournament is being held at the par-71 6,111-yard Jonesboro Country Club with Arkansas State serving as the tournament host.

After finishing 6th and posting the lowest team score under second year head coach Beth Harrelson at the Cincinnati Fall Classic, Memphis looks to build on that performance this week.

"I expect us to use our play at Cincinnati as a learning experience," said Lady Tiger head coach Beth Harrelson. "I'm very proud of how we played last week, but now we have to focus on the present and competing at our highest level this week."

At the Cincinnati Fall Classic, Marissa Steen and Leslie Grabeman tied for 10th, the first time two Lady Tiger golfers have finished in the top ten in the same event in over three seasons. Coach Beth Harrelson expects Steen and Grabeman to use their performances as stepping stones to even better play.

"Leslie and Marissa are both playing well right now," said Coach Harrelson. "I expect them to continue their strong play this week."

The Lady Red Wolf Classic tees off tomorrow, October 12. The Lady Tigers will play 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
