The University of Memphis women's golf team will compete in the Lady Red Wolf Classic on October 13-14. The tournament is being held at the par-71 6,111-yard Jonesboro Country Club with Arkansas State serving as the tournament host.

The field includes Arkansas State, Austin Peay State, Centenary, Drake, Drury, Harding, Jackson State, Lipscomb, McLennan Community College, Murray State, UAB, Central Arkansas, Memphis and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

After firing a team low 76 on the last day of the Johnie Imes Invitational, freshman Marissa Steen looks to have a strong performance this week.

"I think Marissa is set to play well this week. She had a good week of practice coming off that solid final round in Missouri," said Lady Tiger head coach Beth Harrelson.

Junior Leslie Grabeman also looks to build off her final round 79 at the Johnie Imes Invitational. That score was the fourth lowest of the year for the Springboro, Ohio native.

After fighting through intense pain to even compete in last wee's tournament, senior Rachel Larson looks to have her best tournament of the year. During the Johnie Imes Invitational, Larson endured incredible amounts of neck pain after suffering an injury early on the first day of competition.

"I'm extremely proud of Rachel for sticking it out in the last tournament. For her to be able to shoot the scores she did while she is pretty impressive. I can't wait to see what she can do now that she's healthy," said coach Harrelson.

The Lady Red Wolf Classic will tee of Monday October 13 with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT).
